2026 Maryland LLC Fees: Formation, Annual Report and Agent

Maryland's fee sheet for LLCs is mercifully short. Four state numbers cover nearly everything you will ever pay SDAT, and our own pricing adds exactly two more. Here is each figure with its context.

What does SDAT charge to form an LLC?

$100 for the Articles of Organization, the domestic LLC formation filing. Filing online through Maryland Business Express tacks a 3% service charge onto card payments, and an optional $50 buys expedited handling from SDAT.

What does Maryland collect every year?

$300, due each April 15 with Form 1, the Business Entity Annual Report filed with SDAT. It is a per-entity flat charge with no relationship to your revenue or property. File and pay online and the 3% technology fee puts the real total near $309. The window opens January 1, a free 60-day extension to June 15 can be requested online, and same-day online processing exists for $325 with a 2:30 PM cutoff. Eligible MarylandSaves participants can skip the $300 entirely.

What do we charge?

What Our price
Formation, first-year agent included $199, then agent renews at $99/year
Registered agent only $99/year
Foreign qualification $199 + state fees

The formation package covers preparing the Articles of Organization, filing with SDAT, and twelve months of registered agent coverage before the $99 renewal starts.

What does year one add up to?

$299: our $199 package on top of the state's $100, agent already in the bundle. After that, each year looks like $300 to SDAT in April and $99 to us at renewal.

Because none of them are ours. The state figures trace to SDAT's published charter fee schedule and the Business Express fee page, which is where any fee change would show up first.
